198th ESIC Meeting

On 30 June 2026, Union Labour and Employment Minister chaired the 198th meeting of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), approving several measures to strengthen healthcare, medical education, and social security services.

ESIC approved the direct management of all upcoming and newly commissioned ESI hospitals to ensure standardized, efficient, and high-quality healthcare services.
ESIC approved an MoU with the Ministry of Ayush to integrate and strengthen Ayush services within the ESIC healthcare system, with emphasis on occupational and lifestyle-related diseases.
The Corporation gave in-principle approval for restructuring its Medical Education Division, including the creation of new functional verticals, additional posts, and an ESIC Medical Education Advisory Board.
