Cameroon Wins Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026

On 16th August 2026, Cameroon won its first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title by defeating Malawi 3–0.

Cameroon had previously lost three finals before securing its maiden continental title.
Malawi reached the final for the first time in its history after a surprise run in the tournament.
Cameroon, Malawi, Morocco and Algeria qualified for the 2027 Women’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Algeria finished third after defeating Morocco on penalties in the bronze-medal match.
Cameroon became the fourth different Women’s Africa Cup of Nations winner since the tournament began in 1998.
Nigeria remains the most successful team with 10 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles.
