On 10th September 2026, World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) was observed, highlighting the importance of open conversations, empathy and timely support in suicide prevention.

• The 2026 theme is “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”.
• The call to action is “Start the Conversation”.
• The campaign seeks to challenge stigma, silence and harmful misconceptions.
• WSPD has been observed since 2003.
• It is observed by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP).
