Uttarakhand Tourism and Starscapes Launch Nakshatra Sabha

The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board and Starscapes has collaborated to launch Nakshatra Sabha, an Astro Tourism initiative.

• Nakshatra Sabha offers participants a comprehensive astro tourism experience with activities like stargazing, solar observations, astrophotography contests, and camping.
• The initiative aims to create a platform for astronomy enthusiasts, adventurers, and travellers to marvel at the cosmos while enjoying Uttarakhand's natural beauty.
• Nakshatra Sabha will commence in early June at George Everest in Mussoorie and continue until mid-2025, featuring immersive events across various locations in Uttarakhand.
• Alongside stargazing, the initiative will explore potential night sky sites in districts like Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Nainital, and Chamoli, accompanied by seminars and webinars led by experts.
• Nakshatra Sabha also aims to provide professional training and skill development for locals interested in astronomy and tourism, while advocating for dark sky preservation and boosting local economies.
