Food Planet Prize 2026

On 2nd June 2026, the Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) programme won the 2026 Food Planet Prize, one of the world's largest environmental awards focused on transforming global food systems.

• The prize, worth USD 1.5 million, was presented by the Curt Bergfors Foundation in Båstad, Sweden.
• The programme was recognised for promoting farming practices that reduce dependence on synthetic inputs and support climate-resilient agriculture.
• The award received over 1,000 nominations from across the world.
• The programme was launched in 2016 by Rythu Sadhikara Samstha under the Agriculture Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh.
