Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan 2026

On 28th June 2026, Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the two-day Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan in New Delhi.

• The conference aims to accelerate rural development through coordinated Centre-State efforts to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat through Viksit Gaon.
• The Minister stressed effective implementation of flagship schemes, including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, PMGSY, NRLM, and NSAP, ensuring benefits reach every eligible beneficiary.
• The conference reviewed the newly launched Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar & Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-GRAM-G], integrating employment, housing, roads, livelihoods, skills, and social security.
• The government announced plans to expand the Lakhpati Didi initiative to six crore women by promoting entrepreneurship in agri-business, food processing, services, and digital enterprises.
