PM Modi Conferred Seychelles’ Highest Civilian Honour

On 28th June 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred "Guardian of the Blue Horizon", the highest national honour of Seychelles, during his State Visit to the island nation.

  • The honour was conferred by Seychelles President Patrick Herminie in recognition of PM Modi’s leadership in environmental conservation, sustainable development, and strengthening cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region.
  • The award also acknowledges his contributions to climate action, green development, and sustainable growth, adding to his international recognitions in these fields.
