International Science Olympiads 2026

On 19th July 2026, Indian students achieved outstanding success at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) and the 37th International Biology Olympiad (IBO), winning eight medals, including five golds, in international competitions.

• India achieved its best-ever performance, with all four team members winning gold medals.
• India finished joint first in the medal tally alongside China, Vietnam, and Individual Participants Group B (Russia).
• The gold medal winners were Debadatta Priyadarshi (Odisha), Harshit Singla (Punjab), Kabeer Chillar (Delhi), and Sandeep Kuchi (Telangana).
• In International Biology Olympiad (IBO,) India won one gold medal and three silver medals.
