GalaxEye Secures Rs. 63.84 Crore Assistance for Multi-Sensor Satellite

On September 24, 2026, the Technology Development Board (TDB) signed an agreement with GalaxEye Space Solutions to develop next-generation multi-sensor satellite technology.
Key Facts
- Financial Assistance: Assistance of Rs. 63.84 crore will be provided under the RDI Fund; the total approved cost of the project is Rs. 247.69 crore.
- Opto-SAR: The indigenous technology will combine Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Electro-Optical imaging to provide images with a resolution of less than 0.5 meters.
- Technology Development: The project aims to advance the technology from TRL-6 to TRL-9. The financial assistance will be provided through Optionally Convertible Debentures.
- Opto-SAR Capabilities: It merges the capabilities of optical cameras and radar. SAR enables Earth observation through clouds and darkness, while optical sensors deliver detailed visual information.
