On 11th April 2024, Former NFL star and actor Orenthal James Simpson, known as OJ Simpson, passed away at the age of 76 after battling cancer.

  • Born on July 9, 1947, in San Francisco, Simpson rose to fame as a celebrated athlete, winning the Heisman Trophy and enjoying a successful NFL career with the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
  • Simpson gained global attention for his involvement in the infamous double-murder trial in 1995, where he was acquitted of murdering his former wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, though found liable in a subsequent civil lawsuit. He later served time in prison for unrelated charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
  • Despite his legal troubles, Simpson's contributions to football led to his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
