Ilaiyaraaja to Receive Padmapani Award

On 19th January 2026, the prestigious Padmapani Award of the 11th Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival was announced for veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja, in recognition of his unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema.

• The award includes a Padmapani memento, a citation certificate and a cash prize of ₹2 lakh.
• The 11th edition of the festival will be held from January 28 to February 1 at Mahatma Gandhi Mission, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
• The festival is organised with support from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, with co-presentation by the National Film Development Corporation and the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation.
