C-DOT Receives SKOCH Award 2025

In January 2026, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has received the SKOCH Award 2025 for its Cell Broadcast Solution (CBS) at the 104th SKOCH Summit themed “Resourcing Viksit Bharat.”

The award recognises excellence in governance and development across sectors such as technology, finance, health, education and public service delivery.
C-DOT’s Cell Broadcast Solution is an indigenous disaster and emergency alert platform that enables near real-time, geo-targeted dissemination of life-saving information through cellular networks.
The system integrates multiple alert-generation agencies, including the India Meteorological Department, Central Water Commission, Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, Defence Geo-informatics Research Establishment and the Forest Survey of India.
It also brings together mobile service providers, State Disaster Management Authorities and the National Disaster Management Authority into a unified and automated disaster communication framework.
