Recently, the Election Commission of India(ECI) has asked the Union Law Ministry to expand the ambit of postal ballots.Consider the following statements regarding the Postal Ballot System:
- Postal voting is a type of voting in elections whereby Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot Papers (ETPB) are distributed to electors and returned by post.
