Recently, the Ministry of Human Resource and Development has announced the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) Scheme to gain better results in higher education.Consider the following statements about NEAT:

Under this, it has been proposed to create a National Alliance with such technology developing EdTech Companies through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) would be the implementing agency for the NEAT program.

Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has announced a new scheme in Public-Private Partnership basis, National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT), for using technology for better learning outcomes in higher education.
The objective is to use Artificial Intelligence to make learning more personalised and customised as per the requirements of the learner.
HRD would create and maintain a National NEAT platform that would provide one-stop access to these technological solutions and it would act as a facilitator to ensure that the solutions are freely available to a large number of economically backward students.
AICTE would be the implementing agency for NEAT programme. The scheme shall be administered under the guidance of an Apex Committee constituted by HRD.

The major objectives of the Scheme are provision of quality education and enhancing learning outcomes of students; Bridging Social and Gender Gaps in School Education; Ensuring equity and inclusion at all levels of school education; Ensuring minimum standards in schooling provisions; Promoting Vocationalisation of education; Support States in implementation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 and Strengthening and up-gradation of SCERTs/State Institutes of Education and DIET as a nodal agencies for teacher training.

Significance

The Scheme will help improve the transition rates across the various levels of school education and aid in promoting universal access to children to complete school education.

In the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019, the time for approving applications for drugs manufactured in India has been reduced to 60 and 120 days for those developed outside the country.
